Dr. Michaela Hickey, DO is a board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 14 years of experience specializing in cataract surgery, eyelid surgeries, laser treatments and comprehensive ophthalmology. She is returning to Michigan to be closer to her family after over 10 years of practicing Ophthalmology in and around Pittsburgh, PA. She is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality eye care while helping patients achieve and maintain their best possible vision.

Dr.Hickey earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. She went on to graduate from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at the former Oakwood Hospital system in Taylor, MI.

Throughout her career, Dr. Hickey has continued her commitment to advancing her surgical skills and providing compassionate care to her patients. She is an active member of the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Osteopathic Association, and the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her young family. She also stays active doing yoga, barre, and water sports!
